2007年7月，拜耳材料科技宣布正式完成對台灣優得公司的收購，成為全球最大的熱塑性聚氨酯樹脂（TPU）、薄膜供應商和方案提供商。整合拜耳及優得的優勢，目前共有六家熱塑性聚氨酯樹脂及兩家薄膜廠房，且全都與客戶在全球的生產基地相鄰，其中四家位於亞太區，包括中國、台灣、日本與印度。在台擁有約128位員工。

拜耳優得公司銷售知名Utechllan®品牌TPU，主要應用於下列領域：

• 鞋底：高爾夫球鞋、足球鞋、棒球鞋、腳踏車鞋等鞋底。
• 鞋配件：中叉、商標、側片、平衡片、直排鞋鞋殼、扣帶、空氣袋、高爾夫球鞋鞋釘、天皮等。
• 機械零配件：齒輪、油封材、防塵套、輪子、防震零件、手扶梯輪等。
• 薄膜：空氣床、按鍵膠膜、合成皮、防護衣等。
• 管件：園藝水管、空壓管、燃料用軟管、消防水帶等。
• 其它：錶帶、動物耳識別片、潛水用呼吸管、皮箱手把、拉鍊頭、篩網、電線電纜。

Bayer acquired the Taiwan Ure-Tech group in 2006. The integration was completed and established in independent entity of Bayer-Uretech Ltd. on July 1, 2007. Bayer has become the world’s largest supplier and solutions provider of thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) resins and films following the acquisition of the Taiwan Ure-tech group. It has 103 employees.

Combining the strengths of Bayer MaterialScience and Uretech, we have a total of six TPU resins and two film facilities close to the customers’ production facilities around the world, four of which are located in Asia Pacific, China, Taiwan, Japan and India. is Bayer-Uretech’s famous brand of TPU. The applications are as follows：

• Shoe Soles (golf shoes, soccer shoes, baseball shoes, cycling shoes)
• Shoe parts & accessories (shank, logo, side strap, balance, roller skate shoe shell, buckle, air bag, spike, heel top)
