拜耳醫療保健事業群包含：動物保健部、保健消費品部、糖尿病檢驗部以及拜耳先靈西藥部。於2007年1月1日開始，拜耳先靈西藥部將由拜耳醫療保健事業群旗下之西藥處以及先靈公司合併而成；重點放在四大事業領域，分別為診斷用顯影劑事業單位、基礎醫療事業單位、特殊醫療事業單位、女性醫療保健事業單位。拜耳醫療保健事業群至 2007 年之營業額總計為148億 7百萬歐元，同時全球員工達 51,500 人。並且致力於發明製造醫療保健產業中全系列之創新產品和服務，同時持續地提升公司的成果和品質。目前在台擁有約215名員工。

以下就各處別所專精的領域分別介紹：

拜耳先靈西藥部專注於處方藥的產品。從2008年開始，拜耳先靈西藥部包含四大事業單位，分別為診斷用顯影劑事業單位、基礎醫療事業單位、特殊醫療事業單位、女性醫療保健事業單位。主要產品包含冠達悅歐樂Adalat OROS (用於治療冠狀動脈心臟病以及高血壓之持續型藥效錠)，科基Kogenate (為第八基因凝血因子，用於A型血友病患者), 拜耳台灣從1999年起便積極參與台灣血友病各項活動，每年定期的世界血友病日、血友病夏令營以及血友病獎學金等活動的舉辦，目標都在希望血友病友可以有更好的生活。抗感染的產品有速博新Ciproxin (用於治療泌尿系統等的感染)，威洛速Avelox (用於治療上呼吸道等的感染)，Aspirin Protect 100 (用於心血管疾病及中風的預防)，糖祿錠Glucobay (用於糖尿病的治療)以及樂威壯Levitra (用於男性勃起功能障礙的治療)。

癌症方面還有治癌藥物蕾莎瓦 Nexavar，這是拜耳醫療保健事業群所研發的治療藥物。這個產品目前已經被美國FDA及歐盟核准為治療腎癌的藥物，同時，現階段仍在進行適用於其他類型癌症的臨床研究，在肝癌治療上已被列為孤兒藥使用。台灣目前亦積極的進行上市前的臨床研究，將在最短的時間內，提供腎癌病患一項治療藥物的選擇。

而在2007年1月1日與德國先靈公司合併後，拜耳先靈西藥部在處方藥的產品更臻於完備。新增加的處方類別有，生育控制與荷爾蒙療法；診斷學用藥與放射性藥劑；皮膚用藥及特殊治療用藥（如：中樞神經系統、腫瘤醫學、心血管疾病治療用藥等）。其中，顯影劑是以X光顯影劑，核磁共振顯影劑及超音波顯影劑為主；而荷爾蒙製劑則為口服避孕藥、子宮內避孕器以及女性荷爾蒙製劑 (如婦女更年期荷爾蒙補充)；還有皮膚外用製劑，如青春痘治療劑及一般類固醇、抗菌及抗黴菌製劑等。在癌症治療方面，則增加白血病、前列腺癌及骨癌併發症之治療劑；罕見特殊疾病方面，則專注於中樞神經病變治療，如帕金森氏症以及多發性硬化症之治療。

這是非處方藥以及營養補給品的處別。 除了知名鎮痛解熱錠阿司匹林外，知名的品牌還包含卡黴速停Canesten (適用於真菌引起之皮膚和陰道感染)。 藉由與羅氏保健消費品處的合併，其他知名的產品陸續於2005年獲得，如風行歐洲的皮膚用藥貝比舒Bepanthen以及專業醫療級綜合維他命素寶丁Supradyn和鎮痛解熱錠散利痛Saridon。該處別的全球總部設於美國的Morristown和瑞士的Basel。另外目前風行全台的維他命C發泡錠力度伸Redoxon，也是此處別的主力產品。之後更將引進更多消費保健品，提供台灣民眾更多的選擇。

動物保健處的動物用藥包含經濟動物和友伴動物。主要的產品從抗細菌、抗寄生蟲到補給品、營養劑等疫苗都包括。更重要的是在治療跳蚤方面的系列產品，如Advantage 以及 Advantix ，這些產品是特別針對一些溫暖的地區以用來預防貓狗身上的跳蚤和壁蝨。

另外還有一些重要的產品針對特殊區域，如拉丁美洲，拜耳研發特殊的疫苗用於牛隻以預防口蹄疫方面的疾病。 除了一般農場上的家畜(牛、豬和家禽)外，拜耳的產品也用於植物。該處別的全球總部以及主要的研究設施位於德國的Monheim 和 Rhein。

Bayer Schering Pharma focuses on prescription-only medicinal products. Since 2008, Bayer Schering Pharma has covered four Business Units: Diagnostic Imaging，General Medicine，Specialty Medicine and Women’s Healthcare. Major products include Adalat OROS (for the treatment of coronary heart disease and hypertension), Kogenate (genetically engineered coagulation factor VIII for the treatment of the blood disorder hemophilia A), and since 1999, Bayer HealthCare Taiwan actively involved numerous events, the yearly events for instance the World Hemophilia Day, The Hemophiliac Summer Camp and The Hemophiliac Scholarship, all the purposes are hoping to create a better life for hemophilia patients, also the anti-infective products Ciproxin (used to treat urinary tract infections, etc.), Avelox (used to treat respiratory tract infections, etc.), Aspirin Protect 100 (used to prevent CVD and stroke), Glucobay (used to treat diabetes) and Levitra (for the treatment of erectile dysfunction).

The first national authorizations have also recently been issued for Nexavar, a cancer treatment developed by BHC. This product is currently authorized for the treatment of renal cell carcinoma, and additional uses in other types of cancer are in clinical development at the moment, and has been approved to be the orphan drug to treat liver cancer in the US and EU countries. The status in Taiwan now is aggressively on the clinical trials before launch to the market and Bayer HealthCare is going to provide a new option for the patients with kidney cancer in a very short period.

After Bayer merged with Schering Pharmaceuticals Germany on 1st January 2007, Bayer Schering Pharma has improved on prescription medicinal products to perfection. The new added prescription classifications are birth control and hormonal therapy; diagnostics drugs and radioactive pharmaceuticals; skin agents and special therapy (Such as central nervous system, oncology, cardiovascular disease drugs and etc.) Among them, contrast media includes x-ray contrast media, MRI and ultrasonic contrast media; as for hormones, it comprises oral contraceptive drugs, intra-uterine devices and hormones (Such as menopause supplement ); and skin external agents; for example, anti-acne preparations and general steroids, antiseptic and anti-fungal drugs. In cancers, it is added agents for curing leukemia, prostate cancer, and complications of bone cancer. As for specialized diseases, it is specialized in central nervous system diseases therapy such as Parkinson’s disease and multiple sclerosis therapy.

Non-prescription medicinal products and food supplements. In addition to the well known pain reliever Aspirin, outstanding brands will be Canesten (used to treat fungal infections of the skin and vagina). Following the acquisition of Roche’s consumer health business, other well-known products arrived in 2005, the wound-healing cream Bepanthen which has been long hot sale in Europe, medical level multivitamin Supradyn and also famous painkiller Saridon. The international headquarters of this Division are located in Morristown, USA, and Switzerland Basel. Also, the Vitamin C and Zinc effervescent Redoxon which has been the fashionable product in Taiwan is the main product in this division. Bayer HealthCare will import more health and consuming products for more options to Taiwan people.

Diabets Care provides blood glucose measurement devices. Expertise developed over a period of more than 60 years has made BHC one of today’s leading players in the field of blood glucose self-testing systems. It launched the first portable Glucometer in 1969. In 2005, the Ascensia range of blood glucose measurement devices was BHC’s best-selling brand. Medicinal products for both livestock and companion animals, with a product portfolio ranging from antimicrobial and antiparasitic products and vaccines to grooming products and food supplements. Of major importance are the flea-treatment lines Advantage and Advantix which protect dogs and cats against fleas and ticks in warmer regions.

Animal Health offers manifold products for animal care and treatment. Another important product for certain regions such as Latin America is a vaccine to protect cattle against foot-and-mouth disease. Besides conventional livestock farming (cattle, pigs, poultry), BHC products are also used in aquaculture. The Division’s headquarters and main research facility are at Monheim am Rhein.
